Leather is being split in three categories:

Top Grain - this is the highest quality of the three, offering excellent durability and appearance. As it comes from the outer layer of the hide, natural scratches, scars, and other marks may still be visible. These are part of the leather's character and tell the story of the animal's life.

Split Leather - is made from the middle layers of a hide and commonly used for coated leather products.

Genuine Leather - a heavily processed lower-grade leather. Generally considered the least desirable of the three. Products made from genuine leather, usually carry this logo . .

It simply indicates that the material is made from real leather, without saying much about its quality.

Larry Skelet aims to make products as strong and durable as possible and therefore primarily uses top grain.

In rare cases, secondary layers such as dividers or colorful contrast pieces may not be made from top grain leather.

However, the main frame and structural components of every wallet or organizer are always crafted from top grain.

We regularly work with premium leathers from renowned tanneries such as Horween, Haas, and Badalassi.
